Gwenton works in London and across the UK with young people and children who are within or suspected to be associated with contextual safeguarding, gang culture, serious youth violence and County Lines activity. He has advised HM Government and Police forces in relation gangs and serious youth violence and trained police officers across London and the UK.
He has worked in the housing sector as a specialist in finding homes for ex-offenders, vulnerable young people and their families for over 10 years.
During that time, he has also been involved with training and the professional development of multi-agency practitioners in all areas of safeguarding. Gwenton is a public speaker and author. He has taken some of the most toxic social policy issues concerning young people and wrap them up in a narrative that gets through to those in greatest need of life changing information and guidance. His books are essential reading material in youth offending institutes such as Feltham and Isis Belmarsh, while parents, teachers and those working with young people in prisons use his printed material in their workshops, presentations and one-to-one sessions.
His up to date knowledge of the issues has made him the go to person for all national television news organisations for commentary and analysis on gang issues.
